Ingredients
Method
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) so it’s ready once the pork is seared.
- In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper to create the spice rub.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and minced garlic until smooth. Set aside.
- Pat the pork tenderloins dry with paper towels, then rub the spice mixture evenly over all sides, pressing it in gently so it adheres well.
- Heat oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the pork and sear on all sides, turning occasionally, until a golden crust forms—this should take about 3–4 minutes total.
- Turn off the heat and carefully pour the honey garlic sauce into the skillet. Use tongs to turn the pork so it’s fully coated in the sauce.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and roast for 15–20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches about 140°F (60°C).
- Remove the pork from the skillet and place it on a plate. Cover loosely with foil and let it rest for 5–10 minutes. This step allows the juices to redistribute, keeping the meat tender.
- While the pork rests, return the skillet to the stovetop over medium heat. Let the sauce simmer for 1–2 minutes until it thickens slightly into a glossy glaze.
- Slice the pork into ½-inch thick pieces and arrange on a serving plate. Spoon the warm honey garlic sauce over the top before serving.
Notes
Don’t skip the searing step—it adds a layer of flavor and creates that beautiful golden crust that makes this dish feel restaurant-quality.
